8/18/2024 - DISPATCHED 6:06 P.M. - CLEARED 6:25 P.M. HOCKLEYCOUNTY The Levelland Fire Department received reports of black smoke near Grubstake Road and Black Gold Road. Once on scene, the report was determined to be a controlled pitfire and the owner was advised to notify Fire and PD of burning in the future. All units cleared scene and returned to station.
8/18/2024 - DISPATCHED 4:33 P.M. - CLEARED 5:03 P.M. HOCKLEYCOUNTY The Levelland Fire Department was dispatched to a wreck at W. State Highway 114 and South Barton Lane. Everyone was out of the vehicle and assessed by EMS once on scene. Scene was cleared and units returned to station.

The Levelland Fire Department received a report of a fire alarm going off at the South Plains College Texan Dome. Responding personnel did not locate any fire or smoke from the building.
8/12/2024 - DISPATCHED 10:47 P.M. - CLEARED 11:15 P.M. -LEVELLAND
The LFD received reports of a storage building on fire in the backyard of a residence located in the 200 block of Pecan Street. Upon arrival, the homeowner had extinguished the fire. Fire crew checked for remaining hot spots before returning to the station.
8/11/2024 - DISPATCHED 7:43 A.M. - CLEARED 9:34 A.M. SUNDOWN The Sundown Volunteer Fire Department requested mutual aid from the LFD at a building fire located in the 900 block of S. Texas Avenue. The LFD responded with three trucks. Crews assisted with overhaul and searching for hot spots.
8/8/2024 - DISPATCHED 6:32 P.M. - CLEARED 8:45 P.M. LEVELLAND The LFD received a report of a grass fire located near W. Highway 114 and Lincoln Road. Once on scene, the LFD requested assistance from the Whiteface Volunteer Fire Department.
8/7/2024 - DISPATCHED 9:27 P.M. - CLEARED 10 P.M. HOCKLEYCOUNTY The Levelland Fire Department received a call of a small grass fire in the front yard of a residence in the 2700 block of Belvedere Road. Once on scene, the resident had extinguished a majority of the fire. The crew finished putting out the fire before returning to the station.
8/7/2024 - DISPATCHED 7:18 P.M. - CLEARED 7:40 P.M. LEVELLAND The Levelland Fire Department was requested to help Levelland EMS with a lift assist at residence in the 500 block of A&M Lane. A unit responded to the scene and aided EMS by lifting the victim on to the stretcher. A member of the unit traveled with EMS to the hospital to aid in unloading the victim.
8/7/2024 - DISPATCHED 9:14 A.M. - CLEARED 9:28 A.M. LEVELLAND The Levelland Fire Department received a report of smoke in the area of S. College Avenue and Sandlewood Lane. However, the responding crew could not locate any smoke or fire in the area.
8/6/2024 - DISPATCHED 6:58 P.M. - CLEARED 7:30 P.M. HOCKLEYCOUNTY The LFD received a report of smoke in the 200 block of Avenue V. Once on scene, it was determined the smoke was coming from a controlled burn. All units cleared the scene and returned to the station.
8/6/2024 - DISPATCHED 9:29 A.M. - CLEARED 10:33 A.M. HOCKLEYCOUNTY Dispatch notified the LFD of reports of spot fire within the county near FM 3261 and Cactus Drive. The unit responded discovered three piles of carpet burning. Fire personnel extinguished the fire. The LFD was contacted by the owner of the land and was informed they were burning debris left out in the field.
8/2/2024 - DISPATCHED 7:58 P.M. - CLEARED 8:18 P.M. LEVELLAND The LFD responded to the 300 block of Cherry Street after receiving a report of a gas leak in an alleyway. The responding crew turned off the suspected gas meter and contacted Atmos Energy.
8/2/2024 - DISPATCHED 5:36 P.M. - CLEARED 6:25 P.M. LEVELLAND The LFD responded to a report of a small fire in a house located in the1600 block of Austin Street. The responding crew located a small fire in the wall of the residence and extinguished the fire.
8/2/2024 - DISPATCHED 2:50 P.M. - CLEARED 4:35 P.M. HOCKLEYCOUNTY The LFD assisted the Smyer Volunteer Fire Department with a one vehicle rollover within the 6900 block of Elk Road.
8/1/2024 - DISPATCHED 2:27 P.M. - CLEARED 2:38 P.M. LEVELLAND The LFD received a call from a resident in the 300 block of Avenue F stating they had mixed chlorine and vinegar to clean and the smell was extremely strong. All residents were out of the home when a fire crew arrived. Contact was made with the victim and checked on to see if EMS services were needed. The victim stated that the symptoms were subsiding but was advised to call EMS or contact their primary care provider if the symptoms continued to linger.
8/1/2024 - DISPATCHED 12:51 A.M. - Cleared 1:14 P.M. LEVELLAND The LFD received a report of a gas smell in a residence located in the 1200 block of 14th Street. A crew responding to the residence used a tri-gas meter throughout the home but did not detect any gas.
