Levelland Horse Sale, ribbon cutting set for Feb. 6-8

The Levelland Horse Sale, formerly the Clovis Horse Sale, is set to kick off on Feb. 6-8 at the Mallet Event Center.

“We are incredibly thankful that this longstanding and respected even continues to call Levelland home and now proudly carries the name Levelland Horse Sale,” said Chamber of Commerce president Mary Siders. “This transition reflects the strength of the sale and the partnership behind it. The team that organizes and operates this event pours countless hours into its success, and their dedication is evident year after year.”

“Beyond the sale ring, the Levelland Horse Sale is a major economic driver, supporting local businesses, hotels, restaurants, regional commerce, and the western way of life. We are proud to see Levelland’s name associated with such a respected and impactful event and always excited to welcome people to our community from all over the United States.”

The event will get underway on Friday with a ribbon cutting at 8:30 a.m. to celebrate the official name change, to be followed by the Stock Dog Demonstration at 9 a.m., a Preferred Performance Session at 10 a.m., and continue with the United Country Team Roping.

All Friday events will be livestreamed on Facebook at Levelland Horse Sales.

Events will continue Saturday with the Stock Dog Sale at 9 a.m. followed by the horse sale starting with team roping consignments.

Trade shows will be held throughout both Friday and Saturday.

The weekend will conclude on Sunday with a church service held in the lobby at 8:30 a.m.
