An officer conducted a traffic stop for speeding in the area. Following a roadside investigation, two subjects were arrested, one for driving while intoxicated and one for public intoxication. Both were transported to Hockley County Jail without incident.

An officer observed a vehicle use an exhibition of acceleration spinning tires of the vehicle without control. At that time a traffic stop was initiated for reckless driving.
