A Levelland resident. Tommie Hernandez,66, lost his life in a single vehicle accident occurred on Saturday evening, Dec. 6.
The accident involved a 2007 Chevrolet 2500 HD pickup and occurred at the 1200 block of CR 200 in Terry County in clear weather conditions. A preliminary investigation by Texas DPS revealed that the vehicle was traveling eastbound on CR 200 and entered the soft barrow ditch on the north side of the roadway, overcorrected and went into a side skid before rolling. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
Hernandez was pronounced deceased on scene due to the injuries sustained during the crash.
The accident is still under investigation by DPS.
