Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar will distribute $995.5 million in local sales tax allocations for April, which is a 3.5% decrease from April 2024.
These allocations are based on sales made in February by businesses that report tax monthly.
Cities received $621.7 million in allocations for a 3.9% decrease from April 2024. It is a 3.9% yearto- date increase.
Transit systems received $211.0% million in allocations for a 4.4% decrease from April 2024. It is a 3.2% year-to-date increase.
Counties received $63.6 million in allocations for a 0.1% increase from April 2024. It is a 4.9% year-to-date increase.
Special purpose districts received $99.3 million in allocations for a 0.9% decrease from April 2024. It is a 9.8% yearto- date increase.
The April total payments for Hockley and Cochran County cities were outlined in the Monthly Sales Tax Allocation Comparison Summary Reports.
The total payment to Levelland was $388,423.48 which is a 0.03% increase from the $388,297.89 payment allocated last April.
The year-to-date payment to Levelland was $1,659,339.36, a 5.07% increase from the April year-to-date payment of $1,579,145.22.
The total payment to Opdyke West was $509.19 which is a 77.07% increase from the $287.57 payment allocated last April.
The year-to-date payment to Opdyke West was $1,735.81, a 2.59% increase from the April 2024 year-to-date payment of $1,691.89.
The total payment to Sundown was $47,810.09 which is a 48.84% increase from the $32,121.48 payment allocated last April.
The year-to-date payment to Sundown was $150,654.90, a 5.24% increase from the April 2024 year-to-date payment of $143,147.51.
The total payment to Smyer was $5,593.68 which is a 48.84% increase from the $5,528.76 payment allocated last April.
