Local Starbucks awards $1,000 grant toward SPCAA Project CHAMPS program

South Plains Community Action Association (SPCAA), a dedicated local nonprofit committed to helping people and changing lives, is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a generous Neighborhood Funds Grant from Starbucks.

The donation of $1,000 from the Starbucks location in Levelland will significantly bolster SPCAA’s ongoing efforts to improve the lives of Hockley County residents by promoting health literacy and selfsufficiency.

Starbucks, known for its strong commitment to community engagement and social responsibility, has selected the SPCAA Project CHAMPS program as their award recipient. Project CHAMPS assists individuals living with HIV in Texas with case management services.

Their services have been lauded throughout the community for their comprehensive assistance and dedication to treating every individual with respect and dignity.

“We are incredibly grateful to Starbucks for their support and belief in our mission,” said Roger Cardenas, Deputy Director of SPCAA. “This grant will enable us to continue the vital work of our case managers in their mission of uplifting and supporting our community members living with HIV. Starbucks’ generosity reflects a shared commitment to creating a better future for everyone.”

The partnership between SPCAA and Starbucks highlights the importance of local collaboration in addressing community needs. SPCAA was awarded a check this past Friday, at the local Starbucks in Levelland located at 511 College Ave.
