Run the Mosaics set June 14

The West Texas Running Club and Levelland Main Street Program are continuing their partnership by hosting Run the Mosaics honoring Bobby Birdsong June 14.

There will be a one-mile fun run, a two-mile race and a 10k race.

The West Texas Running Club created the Bobby Birdsong Memorial Run to honor Birdsong after his passing. A former educator in the area many years ago, Birdsong was an avid runner with the running club.

Previously held in Lubbock, the event has been brought back to Levelland the past few years. Races scheduled for the event include a 10K at 7:30 a.m., a two mile run at 7:35 a.m. and a one mile run at 9 a.m. All races will be held in downtown Levelland with bib pickup set for race day (June 14) beginning at 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. at the Levelland town square (Houston and Ave G).

Registration must be completed at wtrunning.com and will be open until midnight on June 13. There will be no race day registration and no refunds. It will be $20 for non members in the two-mile and 10K. It will be $8 for WTRC members and non-member kids between the ages of fouryears- old and 12-years old for the one mile run and two mile run.

Age requirements for the one mile run include four-year-olds through 12-year-olds. Seven-yearolds and up can participate in the two mile run (walking is also an option). Individuals must be 13years-old or higher to participate in the 10K.

T-shirts are available for purchase on the website as well.
