The City of Smyer Board of Aldermen will be holding a regular meeting Tuesday, Aug. 5, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Smyer Senior Citizens’ Building located at 224 Lincoln.
Agenda items set for the meeting include: Announcements; Present and consider the minutes of a special meeting held July 29; Consider and take necessary action on a water well lease agreement, hear from Patrick and Teri Riedel; Consider and take necessary action on the hiring of new or additional legal counsel; Consider and take necessary action to review revised personnel policy manual; Consider and take necessary action to review a weed ordinance; Consider and take necessary action on the 75-acre lease agreement; Consider and take necessary action on building permits.
Hear the Engineer Report; Report on Fire Department facilities; Report on Water/Wastewater - facilities; Conduct budget work session for fiscal year October 1, 2025 - September 30, 2026. Discuss proposed tax rate, take record vote and schedule public hearings. Discuss proposed utility rate increases; Approve Financial Report; and Adjournment.
