Regional and local leaders will join representatives from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration and the South Plains Association of Governments at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10th , to celebrate the official start of construction for the new South Plains Regional Small Business Innovation Center.
The U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration announced in September an investment of $2.2 million for the South Plains Association of Governments to renovate their new building in Lubbock, Texas and to create the South Plains Regional Small Business Innovation Center. This new center will provide support, technical assistance and financing opportunities for small businesses throughout the SPAG 15- County region.
The U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration in conjunction with the South Plains Association of Governments and Caprock Business Finance Corporation will work together to fund the South Plains Regional Small Business Innovation Center.
