SPC pins AD nursing graduates

Associate Degree Nursing graduates at South Plains College were pinned this past Thursday at a ceremony held at SPC Texan Dome.

Pinning ceremonies mark the completion of registered nurse training and the graduates’ eligibility to take the National Council Licensure Examination to become licensed registered nurses.

Among the 33 graduates, there were five from Levelland, Smyer and Sundown.

Local graduates included Madelyn Alvarez of Levelland, Carissa Arenivas of Levelland, Alexis DeLeon of Smyer, and Emma Holdman of Sundown.

The SPC Associate Degree Nursing program is a two-year curriculum with the course of study designed to prepare graduates who are accountable, responsible beginning practitioners, and able to give direct patient care in a variety of health care settings.

The SPC ADN program is located at the Levelland campus.
