The Texas Tech Department of Plant and Soil Science are holding their 12th annual Texas Alliance for Water Conservation (TAWC) Water College at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center at 1501 Mac Davis Lane on Wednesday, Jan. 21.
The event, which is free to attend and includes lunch, is an opportunity for a agriculture producers, consultants and industry leaders to connect with the latest wa-ter management research, technologies and industry progress.
The event begins with registration and coffee at 8 a.m., with multiple speakers, such as Clint Krehbiel, Ashley Morgan, Eric Bernard and Kody Bessent, talking throughout the day. A Sustainable Agriculture Photo Contest will be held, with entries asked to capture the relationship between water, soil, plants and livestock on the Texas High Plains.
Also set to speak at the end of the event is KLBK’s Chief Meteorolo gist Jacob Riley who will provide a weather outlook for attendees.
