SWAT CERTIFICATION COURSE--The Hockley County Sheriff's Office recognized Deputy Ortega and Deputy Diaz for successfully completing an intensive 60-hour Basic SWAT Certification Course through P2 Concepts held from April 13-17 in Lubbock. The demanding course required exceptional discipline, advanced tactical skill and resilience. Throughout the training, both deputies demonstrated a commitment to excellence and a dedication to sharpening the skills necessary to serve and protect the community

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) has filed a preliminary Long-Term Load Forecast for 2026–2032.Customers with the largest energy usage were currently data centers, cryptocurrency mining, industrial, and oil and gas processes, according to ERCOT.

Levelland High School Choir students, along with choir director Joshua Ballard, recently returned from a trip to San Antonio where music, history, and connection came together to create a truly meaningful experience.
'SNOW WHITE: THE FAIREST OF THEM ALL”-- Levelland Middle School students Hildea Lawless and Paulina Chavira was a part of the the Ballet Lubbock's 'Snow White: The Fairest of Them All' last weekend at The Buddy Holly Hall. Hildea brought the stage to life as a Woodland Animal, while Paulina impressed as a Shadow Creature. Costumes were created by Leticia Delgado at Ballet Lubbock. (Levelland ISD photo)
