12/2/24The Levelland Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle on fire in the Stripes parking lot. Upon arrival, fire was showing under the hood of the vehicle and the fire crew pulled a pre-connect from the fire truck and started extinguishing.

Hockley Commissioners set special meeting Mon.

The Hockley County Commissioners’ Court will be holding a special meeting Monday, December 9, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Hockley County Courthouse.

HCML announces meeting Dec. 12

The Friends of Hockey County Memorial Library (HCML) will meet on December 12, at 5 p.m. at HCML.Friends of HCML support the library in providing programming such as the Summer Reading program and 1000 Books Before Kindergarten.

To mark the beginning of Levelland’s Festival of Lights and Christmas on the Square, South Plains College will hosted its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday at the entrance to its Levelland campus.

Whiteface set to host Christmas events

The city of Whiteface will host A Whiteface Christmas on Dec. 14, offering contests, raffles and festive activities to the local community.The promotional flyer invited the public to the community event and outlined a full schedule for the day.Shopping will be available to attendees from 1-8 p.m.
