April 81:56 p.m. - Officer conducted a warrant service. One male was arrested.6:32 p.m. - Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1800 block of South US Hwy 385. Upon investigation, one male was taken into custody and transported to the Hockley County Jail.11:37 p.m.

Texas Rangers join Camp Mystic investigation

Following the tragedy at Camp Mystic that killed 27 campers during deadly flooding, the Texas Rangers have been called on to help with the investigation. State lawmakers also are conducting a separate investigation of the flood.

Texas schools required to have CERP, AED certifications

Texas schools will be required to have a Cardiac Emergency Response Plan (CERP), mandated CPR and AED certification for certain employees, and drills to test emergency response by the first instructional day of the 2027-2028 school year. Signed into law by Gov.

TWC Announces funding for Adult Diploma Workforce Program

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is now accepting applications for its Workforce Diploma Pilot Program. This funding opportunity is intended to support programs that help adult learners in Texas obtain a high-school diploma, earn industry-recognized credentials, and develop employability skills.
