Army raises enlistment age

The age to enlist in the U.S. Army has changed from 34 to 42 for Active Duty, Army Reserve and National Guard, effective April 20.Published on March 20, AR 601-210, the regulation that governs policies and procedures for the Army’s enlistment process, was updated to reflect the new enlistment ages.

Centennial Celebration shaping up

The Centennial committee met on Tuesday evening to begin putting the finishing touches to the Levelland 100-year event that will be held on April 11. Volunteer registration is underway for Hockley County 4-H and Girls Scouts and Spartan Shuttles have been secured and are awaiting the final plan.

The Levelland Independent School District board of directors met on Wednesday to consider contracts, agreements and reports.The board approved a contract with Hockley County Credit Union (HCCU) which will affect the name of Lobo Stadium.
