The Hockley County commissioners court regular meeting will be held on Feb. 2 at 9 a.m.Commissioners are expected to take action to approve the GMP from Teinert Construction for the Hockley County Elections Office to be located at 710 Ave. H.

These South Elementary students were recognized for perfect attendance for the second nine-weeks period and presented with Ride with Rotary bicycles by the Levelland Breakfast Rotary Club. The bicycles were sponsored by McDonald’s of Levelland.

As a massive winter storm hit Texas this past weekend, power grid operators began taking extraordinary measures to keep the lights on and avoid rolling blackouts.
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED- Levelland High School held two fundraisers for Bill's Backpacks. LHS staff challenged each other to contribute money to enter a weight loss contest under the direction of Nurse Machelle Wells. The weight loss winner earned half the pot while the rest went to Bill's Backpacks. The LHS winners were Annie Davis in November and Scott Lawson in December.
