The Friends of Hockley County Memorial Library will hold their regular meeting on Thursday, February 13.
The agenda will include a discussion on the rebranding of the Friends of HCML logo and a discussion on the bylaws of the organization.
Meetings of the Friends of the Hockley County Memorial Library (HCML) are held at 5pm on the second Thursday of each month at the Hockley County Memorial Library.
The Friends of HCML support 1000 Books Before Kindergarten and Little Free Libraries to encourage literacy and interest in library use. The organization also helps fund the summer reading program and other special needs of the library.
The Friends of HCML invite all interested community members to be a part of the review and amendment of the bylaws of the organization in preparation for the submission of a request for taxexempt status reinstatement.
Any community members with experience in non-profit governance or tax law, or with an interest in the success of the library and its programs are encouraged to attend.
