ONE LAST TRIP DOWN THE SLED HILL

ONE LAST TRIP DOWN THE SLED HILL – The City of Levelland Parks Department capped off the winter season with a third and final sled hill event at Lobo Hill. The three trails made this go around opened Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday’s hours were from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday hours were from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parks Director Dustin Reichelt added that the goal was to move toward a more self-supervised hill during open hours with the new configuration. All in attendance were encouraged to be courteous of all sledders. A park staff member was on site to monitor snow conditions. As always, the event was free to the public, first-come first-served, open to all ages and no outside sleds allowed. Parents were advised that a child needs to know how to operate a sled to go by themselves, allow the sledder at the bottom of the lane to clear before sledding and please do not obstruct the sled lanes including the exit area. Depending on the remaining snow levels following Sunday, more dates may be added for availability. Community members are encouraged to follow the City of Levelland Facebook page as updates will be provided there. (Photo courtesy of the City of Levelland)
