The Hockley County Commissioners’ Court will be holding a regular meeting Monday, March 3, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Courtroom located at the Hockley County Courthouse.
Agenda items slated for the meeting include: Read for approval the minutes for the special meeting held February 24; Read for approval all monthly bills and claims submitted to the Court dated through March 3; Hear the monthly Public Assistance Report; Consider and take necessary action to approve a donation to the Hockley County Veterans from Tanner Terrell and the employees of Edward D. Jones; Consider and take necessary action to approve the request of Hockley County Attorney, Anna Hord to use SB22 money to supplement the salary of the Assistant County Attorney; Consider and take necessary action to accept the 2024 Racial Profiling Report related to motor vehicle stop data collected by the Hockley County Sheriff’s Office; Consider and take necessary action to approve the Community Partnership Agreement between South Plains Community Action Association Head Start and the Hockley County Library; Consider and take necessary action to approve Ad Valorem tax refunds; Discussion and potential action concerning approval of the Application for Use of Courthouse Lawn as submitted by the Levelland Main Street Program for the following events: - Community Planting Day to be held on April 26 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.
- 10K, 2 Mile and 1 Mile Race to be held on June 14 from 5 a.m. until 12 p.m.; and Consider and take necessary action to approve the Interlocal Agreement for street maintenance and fire service between Hockley County and the City of Sundown.
