The friends of Hockley County Memorial Library will hold their regular meeting on Thursday, March 13.
The agenda will include a discussion of the rebranding of the Friends of HCML logo and a discussion on the bylaws of the organization. Meetings of the Friends of Hockley County Memorial Library (HCML) are held at 5pm on the second Thursday of each month at the Hockley County Memorial Library.
The Friends of HCML help fund the summer reading program and other special needs of the library. They also support 1000 Books Before Kindergarten and Little Free Libraries to encourage literacy and interest in library use.
All interested community members are invited to take part in the review of the bylaws of the organization on preparation for the submission of a request for tax-exempt state reinstatement. Individuals with experience on non-profit governance of tax law as well as those with an interest on the success of the library and its’ programs are encouraged to attend.
