Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar will distribute $1.1 billion in local sales tax allocations for March, which is a 10.2% increase from March 2024.
These allocations are based on sales made in January by businesses that report tax monthly.
Cities received $685.2 million in allocations for a 10.1% increase from March 2024. It is a 6.2% yearto- date increase.
Transit systems received $223.5 million in allocations for a 10.6% increase from March 2024. It is a 5.5% year-to-date increase.
Counties received $65.5 million in allocations for a 2.8% increase from March 2024. It is a 6.3% year-to-date increase.
Special purpose districts received $106.8 million in allocations for a 15% increase from March 2024. It is a 13.2% year-to-date increase.
The March total payments for Hockley and Cochran County cities were outlined in the Monthly Sales Tax Allocation Comparison Summary Reports.
The total payment to Levelland was $400,777.34 which is a 12.48% increase from the $356,300.55 payment allocated last March.
The year-to-date payment to Levelland was $1,270,915.88, a 6.72% increase from the March year-to-date payment of $1,190,847.33.
The total payment to Opdyke West was $291.14 which is a 30.63% decrease from the $419.70 payment allocated last March.
The year-to-date payment to Opdyke West was $1,226.62, a 12.65% decrease from the March 2024 year-to-date payment of $1,404.32.
The total payment to Sundown was $36,290.23 which is a 1.33% decrease from the $36,781.10 payment allocated last March.
The year-to-date payment to Sundown was $102,844.81, a 7.36% decrease from the March 2024 year-to-date payment of $74,244,93.
The total payment to Smyer was $5,501.31 which is a 18.12% decrease from the $6,718.80 payment allocated last March.
The year-to-date payment to Smyer was $18,673.72, a 1.99% decrease from the March 2024 year-to-date payment of $19,054.72.
The total payment to Ropesville was $12,208.63 which is a 2.22% decrease from the $12,486.56 payment allocated last March.
The year-to-date payment to Ropesville was $41,880.21, a 14.46% increase from the March 2024 year-to-date payment of $36,588.59.
The total payment to Anton was $7,888.32 which is a 22.01% decrease from the $10,115.68 payment allocated last March.
The year-to-date payment to Anton was $27,026.71, a 6.07% decrease from the March 2024 year-to-date payment of $28,774.62.
The total payment to Whiteface was $2,493.89 which is a 8.19% increase from the $3,053.51 payment allocated last March.
The year-to-date payment to Whiteface was $8,795.05, 4.10% decrease from the March 2024 year-to-date payment of $9,171.07.
The total payment to Morton was $12,370.82 which is a 8.19% increase from the $11,433.58 payment allocated last March.
The year-to-date payment to Morton was $45,206.61, a 16.27% increase from the March 2024 year-to-date payment of $38,880.68.
