3/25/25 - 6 P.M. - HOCKLEY COUNTY
LFD units were dispatched to the intersection of Juneau Road and America Road in reference to a small grass fire. The responding units located and extinguished the fire.
3/25/25 - 11 P.M. - HOCKLEY COUNTY
The LFD received a report of a grass fire near FM 303 and FM 300. Upon arrival, a small grass fire was located along with a downed power line. Xcel was contacted while fire personnel worked to extinguish the fire. Units remained on scene until the Xcel personnel arrived.
3/22/25 - 10 A.M. - HOCKLEY COUNTY
The LFD received a report in regard to a structure fire in the 6300 block of FM 597. While enroute, the LFD requested the assistance of the Smyer VFD. Upon arrival, the Anton VFD was on scene with a one story residence emitting smoke. The LFD and Smyer VFD were informed the fire was under control but water supply was needed.
Both departments assisted with supplying water as needed to Anton VFD.
3/21/25 - 1:30 A.M. - LEVELLAND
LFD units were dispatched to the intersection of Holly and Denver in reference to a wreck. Upon arrival, a single vehicle was found on its side at the intersection. Crews stabilized the car from tipping. The occupant appeared to be uninjured as the individual was removed through the windshield.
3/21/25 - 10 P.M. - LEVELLAND
The LFD was notified of a structure fire in the 100 block of Avenue N. The report stated an individual was cooking and it got out of hand. Units responding to the call observed heavy smoke and flames showing. A defensive attack was initiated until the fire was knocked down allowing fire personnel to make entry and extinguish the fire. A salvage operation soon took place as the house was vented and all hot spots were cleared.
