The Hockley County Commissioners’ Court will hold a special meeting Monday, April 28 beginning at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Courtroom located at the Hockley County Courthouse.
Agenda items set for the meeting include: Read for approval the minutes for the special meeting; Read for approval all monthly bill and claims submitted to the Court dated through April 28; Hear update from Newman Wheeler, CEO of Covenant Hospital Levelland; Discussion and potential action concerning the 2023 FAST Fund- Rural Outreach and Wellness Acknowledgment; Consider and take necessary action to approve the Hockley County Treasurer’s 2025 Quarterly Financial Report; Consider and take necessary action to approve the proposal from Kofile for the preservation, imaging, and indexing historical records to be paid from the County Clerk’s Preservation Account; Consider and take necessary action to approve the request for Unclaimed Property Capital Credits for Counties; Consider and take necessary action to approve the Participating Entities Services Agreement for the Statewide Automated Victim Notification Services (SAVNS); Consider and take necessary action to approve the Applications for Use of Courthouse Lawn as submitted by The Wallace Theater Door for: Theater Camp - June 9 through June 13; Theater Camp - June 16 through June 20; Space AAS Camp - July 21 through July 24; and STEM Camp - July 28 through August 1; Consider and take necessary action to approve the monthly reports due as per 114,044 Local Government Code as submitted by the Hockley County District Clerk, Hockley County Clerk, Hockley County Auditor and Justice of the Peace Precincts 1, 2, 4 and 5; Consider and take necessary action to determine if an Executive/Closed Session is needed if discussing the purchase of real property in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the county’s ability to negotiate with a third party; Executive/Closed Session— a closed meeting will be held pursuant to the section 551.072 of the Texas Government Code (Deliberation Regarding Real Property); and Consider and take necessary action to approve any action concerning the negotiation of a contract to purchase real property.
