Hockley County Memorial
Library
Minis and Friends (Miniature Horses) will be held June 18 at 10 a.m. located east of the library.
Fun with Chalk will be held June 25 at 10 a.m. located on the sidewalks of the square.
Art and Apples will be held July 2 at 10 a.m.. located inside the library.
Books and Bagels will be held July 9 at 10 a.m. located inside the library.
Coloring and Cookies will be held July 16 at 10 a.m. located inside the library.
Doodles and Donuts will be held July 23 at 10 a.m. located inside the library.
Movie and Popcorn will be held July 30 at 10 a.m.located inside the library.

The library also has calendars located in the library to show the events and holidays. Reading logs and activity sheets are available to pick up. Reading and completing the activities allows for chances to earn prizes.
City of Sundown Library

South Plains College
SPC will be hosting their Explore the Arts Camp from July 7-10. Kids ages 5 to 17 are invited to participate in the camp located on the Levelland campus. Handson activities will take place in different parts of the Creative Arts and Fine Arts Buildings.
“This camp will introduce campers to different aspects of art,” Brent Wheeler, SPC commercial music program coordinator said. “No experience is needed for any of the disciplines we will offer.”
The four-day camp will feature rotating classes from 9 a.m. to noon each day. Kids ages 5 to 11 will participate in theater, visual art, music and photography classes, and kids 12 to 17 have more options, such as graphic design and videography, to choose from as they create their camp schedule.

Texas AgriLife Extension, Hockley County The Hockley County AgriLife Extension Office will be hosting their Summer Series. The series will include a week of hands-on activities from July 7 to July 9. Each session is $10 and payment must be made in person at the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Office located at 1212 Houston Street, Suit 2.
For grades three through 12, Crafts with Ash will be held on July 7, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The registration deadline is July 1 with a limit of 15 people and it will be located at the extension office.

For first through 12, Fishing with Wes will be held on July 8 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The registration deadline is July 1 with a limit of 12 people and will be located at Lobo Lake.

The Wallace Theater
The Wallace Theater will be hosting a Summer Theatre Camp Diary of a Wimpy Kids: The Musical. The camp began June 9 and will end June 22.
Space Exploration Kids Arts Camp will be held from July 21 to July 24. The camp is designed for kids between the ages of five and nine. This immersive camp combines visual arts, storytelling and hands-on projects to spark curiosity about the cosmos. Each day features exciting spacethemed activities like rocket painting, astronaut adventures, galaxy slime and alien creations. All while learning about planets, stars and space exploration. Camp cost is set at $125. Each day will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 12 p.m. The camp will be held at the Wallace Theater.
Janet’s Planet Astronaut STEM Camp will be held July 28 to August 1. The This summer camp is a ticket to a galaxy of discovery with Janet and her team of space-loving experts. Each day is a brand-new mission filled with mind-blowing STEM activities, hands-on astronaut challenges, and incredible appearances from real scientists and space pros.
From launching experiments to training like an astronaut, campers will explore the wonders of the universe and ignite a lifelong passion for space and science. The camp cost is set at $200. Sign-ups are for ages 8-12. The camp will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. with each camp day taking place at the Wallace Theater.
