The Golden Spread Classic will be held at the Mallet Event Center and Arena with steers and heifers showings starting on Thursday and ending Saturday.
Check in will begin on Thursday and showings will begin Friday. Check below for a list of times and procedures.
Starting on Thursday, June 19 at 9 a.m., steers and heifers will arrive. There will be absolutely no early arrivals. From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. entries will turn in weights and classify prospect and/or progress of the steers. From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. heifer papers need to be checked. At 9 p.m. the arena and warm up arena will close.
Friday, June 20 starting at 9 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. check in will be for all mini-Hereford steers and heifers. From 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. check heifer papers. From 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.entries will turn in weights and classify progress steers. Shows will start at 1:30 p.m., with a mini Hereford heifer show, mini Hereford steer show, heifer show and progress steers. Heifers include American Breeds, English Breeds and European Breeds. Progress Steers include the American Breeds Division, English Breeds Division and European Breeds Division. At 9 p.m. the arena and warm up arena will close.
Saturday, June 21 at 7:30 a.m. the Prospect Steer Show starts. The Prospect Steer Show includes, Brahman, Brangus, Santa Gertrudis, Simbrah, ABC, Angus, Red Angus, Hereford, Polled Hereford, Shorthorn, Charlais, Limousin, Maine-Anjou, Simmental, Black Cross, Red Cross, and other Cross. All cattle must be out by 9 p.m.
