Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar will distribute $1.2 billion in local sales tax allocations for July, which is a 4.5% increase from July 2024.
These allocations are based on sales made in May by businesses that report tax monthly.
Cities received $725.9 million in allocations for a 4.4% increase from July 2024. It is a 4.3% year todate increase.
Transit systems received $242.7 million in allocations for a 3.6% increase from July 2024. It is a 3.5% year-to-date increase.
Counties received $70.7 million in allocations for a 4.2 % increase from July 2024. It is a 5.1% year-to-date increase.
Special purpose districts received $116 million in allocations for a 7% increase from July 2024. It is a 9.4% year-to-date increase.
The July total payments for Hockley and Cochran County cities were outlined in the Monthly Sales Tax Allocation Comparison Summary Reports.
The total payment to Levelland was $405,192.75 which is a 7.27% increase from the $377,706.01 payment allocated last July.
The year-to-date payment to Levelland was $2,971,980.21, a 6.53% increase from the July yearto- date payment of $2,789,707.17.
The total payment to Opdyke West was $486.15 which is a 33.89% increase from the $363.07 payment allocated last July.
The year-to-date payment to Opdyke West was $3,123.22, a 11,680% decrease from the July 2024 year-to-date payment of $3,536.56.
The total payment to Sundown was $40,541.55 which is a 11.84% increase from the $36,247.22 payment allocated last July.
The year-to-date payment to Sundown was $270,407.01 a 6.81% increase from the July 2024 yearto- date payment of $253,158.59.
The total payment to Smyer was $6,194.51 which is a 2.91% decrease from the $6,380.34 payment allocated last July.
The year-to-date payment to Smyer was $42,629.82, a .63% decrease from the July 2024 yearto- date payment of $42,902.47.
The total payment to Ropesville was $14,053.22 which is a 31.61% increase from the $10,677.18 payment allocated last July.
The year-to-date payment to Ropesville was $92,687.97, a 15.86% increase from the July year-to-date payment of $79,995.57.
The total payment to Anton was $8,187.52 which is a 2.55% decrease from the $8,402.48 payment allocated last July.
The year-to-date payment to Anton was $68,437.49, a 5.08% increase from the July 2024 yearto- date payment of $65,123.33.
The total payment to Whiteface was $3,259.63 which is a 11.70 decrease from the $3,691.87 payment allocated last July.
The year-to-date payment to Whiteface was $20,754.79, 5.36% decrease from the July 2024 yearto- date payment of $21,931.79.
The total payment to Morton was $13,216.62 which is a 5.42% increase from the $12,536.08 payment allocated last July.
The year-to-date payment to Morton was $94,819.05, a 6.32% increase from the July 2024 yearto- date payment of $89,180.31.
