FULL FLEET CHANGE

The Levelland Police Department (LPD) will be switching to a five-year leasing program for their entire fleet. With some department vehicles reaching 12 years of service, LPD Chief Erica O’Bryon sees the shift as additional support for their officers. Pictured is an active patrol vehicle on the left with withered decals and a substantial amount of engine hours and mileage. On the right is a new vehicle received from this past year. Instead of purchasing a set number of vehicles each year, the department will have a fleet of units similar in age, make and model. The department will go through the bidding process to allow for local dealerships to have an opportunity.
