ROBOT FUN

Pictured left to right are :LMS students, Hildea Lawless, Whitley Nutt, and Halle Gomez in Mrs. Griggs’ 6th-Grade Coding class. Students explored how algorithms and programs work by designing instructions for a cup-stacking robot arm . Students worked together to write step-by-step instructions in a special “cup-stacking language” to stack cups in specific patterns. Then, they put their programs to the test by having their “robot” classmates follow the code to complete the task. The coding activity provided students a hands-on way to see how important clear instructions are in coding— and how a small error can change the whole outcome.
