Funeral services held for Manuel Guerra Jr.

Manuel Guerra Jr. ,82, of Levelland passed from this life on September 5, 2025 with his devoted wife, Pauline by his side. Visitation took place on Sunday September 7, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with the reading of the Holy Rosary began at 5:00 PM. Funeral Service were held at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Monday, September 8, 2025, began 11:00 AM. Interment followed in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

Manuel was born on February 19,1943 in Raymondville, Texas to Manuel Guerra Sr. and Marie Rios Guerra. He was a well-known carpenter and handyman in Levelland. He worked hard to provide for his family and had kindness to help whoever he could and whenever he could. He was married to his wife Pauline, for 66 years.

Mr. Guerra dedicated most of his time to his AA Chapter and was an advocate in helping people in AA. He was a faithful and loyal member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland. He took pride in his family, work, church and in AA. He left an imprint and impression on everyone he met. He enjoyed traveling to catholic churches in different areas and also enjoyed sitting in on AA meeting in other areas as well.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Guerra Sr. and Maria Rios Guerra; grandson, Christopher Ryan Guerra; brothers, Antonio Guerra, Steven Guerra Sr., Raymond Guerra and Robert Guerra and his sisters, Eva Salines and Julia Gutierrez.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife, Pauline Guerra; children, Sylvia G. Flores and husband, Mike of Brady, Mike Guerra and wife, Linda of Levelland, Larry Guerra of Lubbock, Manuel Guerra III and Joel Hernandez of San Antonio, Patrick Guerra of Texas and Jody Guerra of Levelland; along with fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Mr. Guerra will be remembered for his personality, his need to help others and his deep conversation he would have with everyone. He will be missed and remembered for the love he showed in his own way. We love you Dad/Popo.
