Larry Carter is a lifelong resident of Hockley County, where he farms cotton and runs a cow-calf operation. He currently serves as President of the Hockley County Farm Bureau and Chair of the Hockley County Appraisal District. He is also an active member of the Hockley County Junior Livestock Show Board. His past leadership includes serivice on the Farmers Coop Elevator Board, the Hockley County FSA Committee and the Texas Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Advisory Committee. He has also been married to his wife, Michelle, for 39 years. He has two sons and two grandchildren. Congratulations Carter for the 2025 Agricultural Professional of the Year.
