The 286TH District Attorney’s Office announced that Rocky Salazar Flores, a 44-year-old resident of Levelland, has been sentenced to 15 years in state prison following a conviction for Sexual Assault of a Child.
After punishment was assessed by the jury, the sentence was handed down by Judge Ron Enns, sitting by assignment, in the 286th District Court on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, following a trial that concluded earlier this week.
Flores was found guilty on one count related to the sexual assault of a child victim. The investigation was initiated by the Levelland Police Department and prosecuted by the 286th District Attorney's Office.
'This sentence reflects the severity of the crime committed,' said Donnie Yandell. 'We hope this outcome offers a measure of justice and closure to the victim and their family, and it sends a clear message that those who perpetrate these heinous acts will be held fully accountable.'
Following his release from prison, Flores will also be subject to lifetime registration as a sex offender.
