Dewbre joined the CSB family and brought valuable experience in leadership and business after being the director of human resources at South Plains College and echoes the importance of small-town banking and the importance of citizens feeling familiar and comfortable with their bank rather than just being an account number.

The bank operates as a subsidiary of Anton Bancshares, Inc. and is classified as a commercial bank, state charter and Fed non-member, supervised by the FDIC, with the main bank located in Anton.

Citizens currently has three locations including Anton, Lubbock and Levelland. Anton and Lubbock banks are full service, with Levelland being a depository and small loan office. All offer online banking, debit cards, estatements, various personal and business checking and savings accounts, money market accounts, and CDS and IRAS available.

Jamie Gibson, CEO and president of the bank and comes with years of prior experience and has been leading Citizen’s since 2020.

Gibson said “People are hungry for local services and a more personal experience. When people want help from a bank, their personal situations need to be looked at and considered, and not be treated as a name on an application that puts people into a generalized box to be approved or not approved. An application doesn’t always tell the whole story. We care about ‘people’ at Citizens State Bank.”
