LISD named Kimberly Ibarra the Teacher on the Rise for the impact she is making on Levelland Middle School students. Ibarra was recognized in September as an LMS Difference Maker.
As a part of the recognition, Ibarra received a $100 United gift card, a gift bundle from Mrs. Baird’s, a TTU Club gift card and a Teacher on the Rise certification to display in her classroom.
Ibarra was nominated for the honor by student Declan Jaramillo who wrote in a letter, “Mrs. Ibarra is one of the best teachers ever. She makes learning fun and helps us understand hard things by explaining them in a way that makes sense. She even helps us with words that are tricky until we all learn them as a class. Her classroom is so creative and is always a happy place.”
Declan received a $50 gift card for his winning nomination.
