Gwendolyn Cooper was born July 23, 1950 in Cameron Texas, to Ruby Lee Osban Lewis. She attended school in her younger years in Cameron.
Her family moved to Levelland in 1953 when she was a child and lived there until 2012 when she moved to Lubbock. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with all of her family and friends. Her hobbies were cooking, taking care of her plants, watching WWF & Raw Professional Wrestling every Monday night, and favorite Basket Ball team NBA Dallas Mavericks, loved caring for all her family, enjoyed reading the bible and attending church on Sundays, Gwendolyn, shall be missed by all of her family and friends.
Cooper is preceded in death by her grandparents Sylvester and Caldonia Osband and her father George Cooper.
She is survived by her mother Ruby Lee Osband Lewis, sisters Ruthie Ward of Leander, Dorise Alexander and Melinda Sue Mitchell both of Austin, and Olivia Kaye Dent of Atlanta, Tx. Her brothers Marvin Mitchell of Anton, M.J. Lewis and Michel Lewis both of Cameron, Donnie Mitchell and Sebastian Mitchell both of Austin, Vincent Mitchell and Lavelle Mitchell both of Killeen, Tx.
Services were held on Saturday November 8 at 2 p.m. at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland. Visitation and reflections of life were held Friday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland.
