Jose Antonio (Tony) Balboa passed from this life November 26, 2025.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia Balboa of Levelland, brother Hector Balboa (Tammy) of Houston, Uncle David Cardenas (Alice) of Lubbock, niece Veronica Balboa of Porter Texas, Victoria Castillo of New Caney, three great nieces and three great nephews, and brother-in-law Locario Carrasco of Southlake.
He was preceded in death by his son Greg Balboa and mom Celia C. Balboa.
He worked as a painter most of his life. His mentor, Lupe Mendez, taught him many tricks of the trade. Alan Eller helped him learn his carpentry skills. As time passed, he was employed by Texas Tech and South Plains College.
He loved heading out to Ruidoso for camping and hiking; His biggest passions were cooking our and making his Extremely hot chili! Hanging out with his friends, catching up and reminiscing always put a smile on his face.
The biggest joy of his life was his precious son Greg. He adored being a dad and making memories and having fun with him.
His memory will always have a special place in our hearts, missed beyond measure.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 4 at 2PM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
