Ronald “Gene” Burch, attended high school in Levelland, Texas. He married Glorya Roberts on June 9th, 1995, in Marble falls, Texas He was blessed with four children from his first marriage. Gene, worked in the oil fields as a tool pusher and as a professional welder, Driller for Chico Drilling Company, and Goulds Pumps, and as a Maintenance man for seven years. His hobbies were playing the guitar, a true Cowboy riding and breaking horses, enjoyed working, Welding, collecting coins, making cast Iron toys out of horseshoes, collecting leather football helmets, reading the morning news-paper, listening to country western music like Bob Wills and was quite the dancer. He shall be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Benjamin Burch and Juanita Viola Castleman; first wife Janell Leniece Polasek Burch; spouse of 30 years Gloria Roberts Burch; brothers Don Burch and Gary Burch.
He is survived by his daughter Daina Burch Decker (Kyle Decker) of Lubbock; sons Jarret Burch and Justin Burch both of Gatesville and Brent Burch of San Antonio; stepsons Randy Putman (Sheryll) of Ropesville, Russell Putman (Suzann) of Tucumcari, NM and Richard Putman of Midland; brother Lonnie Burch of Buchanan Dam; five grandchildren Clayton Lozano (Maddison) and Jace Decker; five step grandchildren, Kasey, Lindsey, Jody, Jessica, Chris and Maddison Putman; four great grandchildren Emery, Indy and Navy Lozano, Collin Putnam.
