An amazing journey began in 2000 with three ladies in one community – Debra Frankin, Glenda Jones and Charlene Smith – with an idea to bring all the ladies together as a whole.
It began with the first Christmas party at the home of Jones and the next at Smith’s.
Following the second event, it was decided to make it a yearly event, with a bigger place needed to accommodate the celebration.
The three put their heads together and camp with a name – Sista, Sistas – and as time went on, other began to join them.
Chris Wade brought in a group of ladies, and the name was changed to Circle of Sisters. The group grew and members became a blessing, surrounded by beautiful and loving ladies.
The original trio of the Circle of Sisters recently held the 25-year event, thanking the Locket and Williams families for decorations and many others for the food and door prizes.
“May God Bless us to keep it going. Looking forward to next year,” said Franklin, Jones and Smith.
