MLK holiday business closures announced

In Levelland, Texas, all non-essential government offices, post offices, and banks will be closed on Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Day, which is a federal and state holiday. Most private businesses, including retail stores and restaurants, typically remain open.

Government offices, federal, state, county and city non-essential offices and operational facilities such as the Levelland City Hall and municipal court will be closed. The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) will not have regular mail delivery and post offices will be closed. Most banks and credit unions are closed because it is a Federal Reserve bank holiday, but online banking services and ATMs are usually available. Levelland ISD schools and public schools have the day off.

Emergency services like police and fire departments as well as essential emergency services will be operational.

Retailers and grocery stores and pharmacies will operate with normal or slightly modified hours. It is recommended to check with local specific stores for their hours.

To confirm specific hours for any business it is always a good idea to call ahead or check their official website or social media channels.
