Get Ready for God to Restore You

I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. (Joel 2:25) The favor of God had flowed into her life like a tsunami, which washed that dreadful season away. Her relationship with God had blossomed into something she never imagined. Suddenly, one vicious action turned her world upside down. In that moment, her next move would stretch her faith beyond all limits. Or she could choose other worldly offers to satisfy her. When your loss is great, and everything is spinning out of control, starting over may turn your world upside down. In 2012, I lost my job due to abuse of power, which resulted in unemployment for over four years and going without income for almost three years. Though this was a tough season, I already had a remarkable history with the Lord, so, I never lost my praise or faith in God. Out of the ashes, I am now a CBA multiple award-winning author who enjoys using words to make others feel better.

Dear One, just as God promised to restore and replenish Israel, He did so for me. And guess what? He is the same God who will do so for you, as well. You may be in a season of everything that could go wrong, has. Maybe you lost your job. It could have been a divorce. Or even unsure of what tomorrow will bring because the troubles are too numerous and mighty, like nothing you have experienced before. (Joel 2:2).

Come to Him, Dear One, because He will save and deliver you. His mercy is everlasting, and His grace knows no bounds. He will turn your dry season to green pastures where you will feast on the blessings of God in the presence of your enemies. Then God will compensate you for the years you lost. Beloved, have patience with Him, and trust the Lord because He will give you more than enough, and you will never be ashamed. (Psalms 23)
