PCG to hold annual meeting

Plains Cotton Growers 69th Annual Meeting will be held on April 7 at the Overton Hotel Conference Center in Lubbock. The event is free. Producers, representatives and partners of the Texas High Plains cotton industry gather once a year at this annual event to be inspired and educated on cotton crop production practices.

The event schedule includes registration and breakfast from 7 to 8 a.m. followed by a welcome.

The session starts with a U.S. Farm Report with Tyne Morgan and panelists Gary Adams, Buddy Allen and Kody Bessent which lasts until 9:20 a.m.

Liz Hershfield, the Cotton Council International executive director, will speak at 945 a.m., followed by USDA Sec. Brooke Rollins (tentative) at 10:30 a.m.

Lunch will be served at 11:15 a.m. and keynote address will be presented by Jeff Bloomfield.

There will be afternoon breakout sessions from 1 to 2:50 p.m. on tax strategies, DC Staff Panel and market chatter.

There will be a postevent reception at 3 p.m.
