Sue Bell (Brister) Propst, age 92 years, died in Smyer on Jan. 22, 2026.
She touched so many lives in her 48 years living in Smyer and attending First Baptist Church.
Many remember her best for teaching at Smyer schools for 35 years.
She leaves behind granddaughters: Ariel, Zephyr, and Zenyth; grandchildren-inlaw: Jake, Paul, and Sara; and great-grandchildren:Vincent, Jasper, Felix, Hugo and Sybil.
She was preceded in death by both of her beloved sons, Rodney in 2007 and Ronald just three weeks before her passing.
A visitation will be held Feb. 6, from 4 p.m. -8 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 West 19th Street, Lubbock.
The funeral service will be held Feb. 7, from 10 a.m. -11 a.m. at the Smyer School Auditorium, 401 Lincoln Street, Smyer.
A small committal service will be held at Smyer Cemetery. All are invited to a reception to follow the funeral service at the Smyer Senior Citizens' Center, 224 Lincoln Street, Smyer.
