Guests at South Plains College’s upcoming Monte Carlo Evening can expect a lively casino-style night filled with games, entertainment and opportunities to fund student scholarships. Hosted by Hockley County Credit Union, community members are invited to participate in the event’s scholarship fundraising activities from 6 to 9 p.m. on March 6 at the Mallet Event Center in Levelland.
“Monte Carlo Evening is a fun and engaging way for our community to come together while directly supporting South Plains College students,” Kirsten Chau, assistant director of SPC Development and Alumni Relations, said. “Every game played, raffle ticket purchased and auction bid placed helps create more opportunities for students to succeed.”
Throughout the evening, attendees can play classic casino games using playing chips redeemable for raffle tickets, giving guests the chance to win prizes, including Texas Rangers tickets, Turtlebox speakers and other exciting items. Guests can also take a break from the casino tables to try their luck at the human slot machine or the whiskey and wine ring toss.
Live music will set the atmosphere throughout the evening as guests enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, refreshing drinks and a caviar-tasting station. The evening will briefly pause for special Monte Carlo moments, during which guests can bid in a live auction featuring the SPC Street Sign Naming, an exclusive item donated annually by the SPC Board of Regents, and a Las Vegas Sphere getaway for four donated by SPC Foundation board members.
