To the Editor, I would like to take a moment to recognize and commend the outstanding students from our YELL (Young Emerging Leaders of Levelland) program and the National Honor Society at Levelland High School who consistently step up to Keep Levelland Beautiful.
During our recent community clean-up efforts connected with Keep Texas Beautiful, I have been truly impressed by the number of students who willingly volunteer their time and energy to help improve the place we all call home. These students show up early, ready to work, and eager to serve. Whether they are picking up litter along our roadways, cleaning and restoring local parks, or helping in other areas that need attention, their positive attitude and strong work ethic make a noticeable difference throughout our community.
Their willingness to serve demonstrates that pride in one’s hometown begins with simple actions. By giving their time to care for our shared spaces, these young people help keep Levelland clean, welcoming, and beautiful for everyone who lives here and for those who visit. Even more importantly, they set an example that reminds young and old alike that caring for our community is a responsibility we all share.
It is also encouraging to realize that these students represent the future of Levelland. They will one day become the workforce, business owners, teachers, preachers, public servants, and leaders who help shape the direction of our town. Seeing their dedication, kindness, and sense of responsibility today is truly refreshing and gives me great confidence in the future of our community.
I hope the citizens of Levelland will join me in recognizing and thanking these remarkable students for their hard work and commitment. Their efforts reflect the very best of Levelland ISD and remind us that when people care about where they live, positive change happens. Sincerely, Cristal Isaacks LHS YELL & NHS Sponsor Keep Levelland Beautiful Volunteer
