Following the meet, Antelopes Head Track & Field Coach Jeff Jones reflected on his team’s performance.
“I was extremely pleased with how we competed. The weather wasn’t ideal, but I can tell we are making some great improvements,” Coach Jones said. “Isaak, once again, lowered his school record in the 300 hurdles. The 4x400 relay team ran a season best, as well. I think we are all starting to hit our stride, and we’ll peak at the right time. I couldn’t be happier about how we are looking.”
The Antelopes return to competition on Thursday, hosting a home meet. Meanwhile, the Roughnecks will be competing at Plains on the same day. Thursday marks both teams’ final regular season meet before the District Meet on April 9-10, which Sundown is set to host.
