The Hockley County Commissioner’s Court will hold a regular meeting on April 6.
Commissioners are expected to hear the monthly public assistance report and an annual report from Tylyn Rushing, president of the Hockley County Child Welfare Board.
Commissioners are also expected to take the necessary steps to approve the separation of the Hockley County Child Welfare Board to work under a 501 (c)(3) instead of under the county tax id number and approve new members for the board.
Commissioners are set to hear and approve the Prescription Formulary for the Jail Based Competency Recovery Program StarCare to be presented by Cara Phelan.
Additionally, commissioners are expected to approve the Proclamation for Child Abuse Awareness Month and the County Government Month Proclamation.
Also on the agenda is a presentation and review of the FY2025 Jail Commissary Audit to be presented by Shirley Penner, Hockley County auditor.
