After announcing reclassifications and realignments for football, basketball and volleyball back in Feb., the University Interscholastic League (UIL) recently released the reclassifications and realignments for the 2026-27 school year for the remaining sports.
Aside from Whiteface moving down from 2A to 1A in non-football sports, the changes for Levelland, Sundown, Ropes, Smyer, Morton, Whitharral and Anton are all at the district level.
In spring athletics (Includes Golf, Spring Tennis and Track & Field), Levelland is in 4A District 5 with Big Spring, Lubbock Cooper Liberty, Lubbock Estacado, Plainview, San Angelo Lakeview and Snyder. Morton, Ropes, Smyer and Sundown are in 2A District 5 with Plains and Seagraves. Anton, Whiteface and Whitharral are in 1A District 5 with Amherst, Cotton Center, Springlake Earth and Meadow.
In baseball, Levelland is in 4A District 5 with Big Spring, Liberty, Estacado, Plainview, Lakeview and Snyder. Morton and Smyer are in 2A District 3 with Abernathy, Hale Center, New Deal, Olton, Sudan, Springlake Earth, Nazareth and Petersburg. Ropes and Sundown are in 2A District 4 with New Home, Plains, Post, Seagraves, Tahoka, Crosbyton, O’Donnell and Ralls.
In softball, Levelland is in 4A District 5 with Big Spring, Liberty, Estacado, Plainview, Lakeview and Snyder. Morton is in 2A District 3 with Abernathy, Hale Center, New Deal, Olton, Sudan, Petersburg and Ralls. Sundown and Ropes are in 2A District 4 with New Home, Plains, Post, Seagraves, Tahoka, Crosbyton and O’Donnell.
In cross country, Levelland is in 4A District 5 with Big Spring, Liberty, Estacado, Plainview, Lakeview and Snyder. Morton, Sundown, Smyer and Ropes are in 2A District 5 with Plains and Seagraves. Whitharral, Whiteface and Anton are in 1A District 5 with Amherst, Cotton Center, Springlake Earth and Meadow.
In team tennis, Levelland is in 4A District 3 with Andrews, Liberty, Plainview, Seminole, Brownfield, Denver City, Lamesa, Littlefield and Shallowater.
