The Levelland City Council will be meeting on April 13 for a regular meeting and welcome reception for LFD Fire Chief Brian P. Horton.
The reception and swearing in of the fire chief will be held prior to the meeting and offer Levelland residents an opportunity to meet the new fire chief. The meeting will follow the meet and greet.
Action items on the agenda include taking necessary action on the Quarterly Financial report ending March 31 and a payment request from MH Civil Constructors, Inc. for the new 1.8 MGD Wastewater Treatment Plant.
A discussion is expected on the proposed microsurfacing project and authorizing the city manager to enter into a contract with Intermountain Slurry Seal, Inc. for street maintenance projects in 2026.
The city manager is expected to give a report on staff and proj ect updates and recognitions and items of community interest.
