Whiteface CISD passes four propositions

The Whiteface CISD Bond Election was successful, with four propositions passing for a combined total of $8,900,000.

Proposition A, for $7,150,000 was for general school improvements and renovations which included infrastructure and upgrades for technology, safety and HVAC, new and old gym renovations, playground and outdoor PE court, Ag/shop, indoor LED lighting districtwide, drinking fountains systems, resurfacing parking lots, accessibility renovations and student transportation purchases.

Proposition B also passed for $750,000 for school housing renovations; Proposition C, for $500,000 for pool renovations; and Proposition D, $500,000 for stadium renovations.

The district currently does not have a debt tax rate. The school board intends to structure payments on the new bonds for an I&S tax rate of approximately $0.1800.
