Van Harlan Schooler, 84, of Levelland, passed from this life January 4, 2023.
A family gathering will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 7, at Citizen’s Cemetery in Clarendon.
Van was born November 1, 1938, in San Angelo, to Thomas and Della Mathews Schooler.
He married Fredda Bourland in June of 1969 in Clarendon.
Van was a long-time farmer in Cochran County.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Don Joel and wife, Betty, and Jamie Schooler.
He is survived by his wife, Fredda, of Levelland; son, Matt Schooler of Portland, Indiana; daughter, Sallye Tijmes and husband, Karst, of Levelland; grandson, Van Jeter and fiancée, Bethany Mitchell; and his father, Dan Jeter of Levelland; children of love: Ashley Rust and family: Michael, Stetson and Sterling of Coweta, Oklahoma, Brooklyn Steele and fiancée, Joaquin, of Odessa and Nick Steele of Midland; sisters-in-law, Jerri Schooler of San Angelo, Lynn and husband, David White of College Station and Beth and husband, Steve Holtz of San Angelo; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Alcove, Box 886, Morton, Texas, 79346 or Westview Boys Home, Animal Project, P.O. Box 553, Hollis, Oklahoma 73550, or a charity of your choice.
