Funeral services for Mr. J.B. Patton, 80, of Morton were held on Friday March 24, 2023 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Morton.

Officiating services is Pastor Aaron Garrett and James “Bubba” Jones. Music was by family and friends.

Interment was held at the Morton Memorial Cemetery in Morton, Tx.

Pallbearers are Calvin Johnson, Markeis Patton, Travis James Patton, Travis Curtis Patton, Emerson Cornish and James Cornish.

Funeral services are under the direction of Head Duarte Funeral Home and Staff in Levelland.

Visitations and Reflections of Life was held Thursday March 23, 2023 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland. J.B. passed from this life on March 17, 2023 in Lubbock, Tx. He was born on March 13, 1943 in Center, TX to parents Wyatt and Jennie V. Garrett Patton.

J. B. Patton, was a wonderful son, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather. He attended school in his younger years in Center Texas. J. B. moved to Morton in 1976 from Kilgore, Tx where he settled. He worked as a professional Truck Driver for ATI for several years.

His hobbies were working on cars as a mechanic, listening to the news, playing guitar with his brother Y.T. Patton. He enjoyed playing the lottery and his favorite phrase was “Playing All or Nothing!”

He enjoyed talking to his family and laughing with them.

J.B. is preceded in death by his parents; Wyatt and Jennie V. Garrett Patton, sisters; Katherine Joyce, Charlene Patton, Mary Jane Johnson, Jennie Ruth Grisby, Christabelle Patton, brothers; Wyatt Patton Jr., I.D. Patton, John D. Patton, Carlton Patton and grandson Marcus D. Patton.

Survivors include daughters: Brandy Patton of Atlanta, Georgia, Linda Patton – Ullah o, Eulistine Buertey and Gena R. Patton all three of Tacoma, Washington, Tina Patton Jones of Kilgore, Tx, and Sharlart Patton Hembrick of Frisco, Tx; sons: Sammy J. Patton of Tacoma, Washington and Jammie B. Patton of Dallas, Tx. 24 grandchildren, 42 greatgranchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, sisters: Ernestine Evans of Morton, Verlene Patton of Center, Tx and Hazel Bolton of Shelbyville, Tx and brother: Y.T. Patton of Morton.
